A New Version of Line Echo Cancellation (LEC) Software from GAO
Toronto, Canada – GAO Research Inc. (www.GAOResearch.com) recommends its up-to-date Line Echo Cancellation (LEC) software (G.165), which is a part of GAO’s telephony software suite. The G.165 line echo cancellation software helps cancel electrical line echoes caused by 2-to-4 wire conversion hybrids in telephone lines. This software is designed for integration with other software modules such as DTMF Encoder/Detector to enhance performance. It is commonly used in long distance voice communication and other applications, especially in links involving satellite networks and intercontinental long haul circuit.
GAO’s G.165 line echo cancellation software is implemented in assembly or C and is easily implemented via two user-callable functions which perform echo cancellation and initialization operations. This software is compliant with the ITU G.165 recommendation and is ideal for full-duplex operation.
